Selling AMVC All Rights To Your Content
Does AMVC Buy Content Outright?
Although we're mainly in the business of distributing amateur videos on DVD for producers at a non-exclusive, 60/40 arrangement, we sometimes receive inquiries from producers wanting to get out of the adult industry (for a variety of reasons) who ask us if we'd like to buy all of their content. Sometimes we do buy footage, photos, trade names, etc. from individual producers. Here is what we need if you'd like us to consider your situation:
- You must tell us how much you want us to pay for the film. Please don't ask us to make the offer, as this is our policy. When you make the offer, we need an extremely detailed list of all items you are offering and how much you are selling it for.
- We buy ALL WORLDWIDE RIGHTS. That means that once you sell it to us we own it 100% and you cannot sell it again or use it in any way and you lose all rights forever to what you sell to us.
- We must receive the original model releases and legible photo ID copies for all performers in the film.
- We must receive all photos, raw footage, paperwork, documentation, inventory, etc. related to the items you're offering to sell us.
- We must receive the original, unedited footage that you shot with the camcorder. We are willing to agree in writing that we will never show certain items in the raw footage (for example: something you've intentionally edited out due to private reasons).
- We're more inclined to accept an offer where the film has live sound with no music or sound effects or radio/TV playing in the background.
- All male performers in the film must be wearing condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse.
- The film cannot contain any of our prohibited content: water sports, scat, snuff, blood, child pornography, bestiality, fisting, rape, violence, incest, or drug use.
- After both parties reach an agreement on price, content, etc., then we will send you a Sales Agreement Contract via FedEx. After signing the agreement, you will FedEx it back to us along with all content for us to review. It can take us anywhere from a couple of days to a week to review all content, paperwork, etc. that you've sent us, depending on the amount of info we must review. If there is an issue, we will discuss what needs to be fixed. If there are no issues, then we will FedEx you a company check for the agreed upon amount and we'll have a done deal :)
