AMVC.com Announces Gay/Straight Separation
SEATTLE, WASHINGTON (October 2, 2003) – AMVC.com, a subsidiary of On The Edge of Cyberspace, Inc., an adult entertainment company based in Seattle, WA, today announced its completion of separating their gay and straight video products and email lists. “AMVC.com began solely as an amateur gay video site,” said co-owner Allen “The Colonel” McNulty. “In January 2002, we made the decision to begin targeting the amateur straight producers out there and we now carry a growing line of straight video producers and products on the site…but they’re now fully separated from the gay content.”, he added.
After a number of inquiries from customers who receive email updates from AMVC.com, the company realized that straight customers didn’t want to see gay content and gay customers didn’t want to see straight content. “Our email updates, which announce our new releases and sales promotions, contained everything all in one email. Now they are separate email update lists that can be subscribed to individually, so everyone’s only seeing the type of content and news that trips their proverbial triggers.”, the Colonel jokes.
