2004 Was Great Year For AMVC.com
SEATTLE, WASHINGTON (January, 7 2005) – AMVC.com, an amateur video production and distribution company and subsidiary of On The Edge of Cyberspace, Inc., today announced that it has finished its analysis for its 2004 calendar year corporate and top video sales and percentages. The results were as follows:
Compared to 2003, gross revenue for 2004 was up 9% and the number of items sold on AMVC.com increased by 19%. VHS sales declined from 73% of items sold in 2003 to 53% in 2004 while DVD sales jumped from 27% of items sold in 2003 to 47% in 2004, echoing an industry-wide trend of an increasing DVD market share. The average selling price per item decreased 22% in 2004 as AMVC.com offered more sales incentives to attract customers in a difficult economy. AdultHire.com, OTEC’s newest division, brought in only 1% of gross revenue in 2004 but accounted for approximately 33% of feeder traffic sent to AMVC.com. Income from OTEC’s streaming video contracts grew by 70% in 2004 and accounted for 23% of OTEC’s gross revenue. VideoMeltdown.com, OTEC’s video editing division, was closed down in 2004 to concentrate on other projects.

“We are extremely happy with the results of 2004 sales and revenue,” says AMVC.com co-owner Allen McNulty. “As you can tell by the stats, we’ve taken a more aggressive approach to streaming venues and will continue to do so,” he adds. “I will probably never be completely happy until we’ve conquered the world,” he jokes, “and with several new agreements we’ve just signed with various companies, we’re on our way to doing just that! Our content is in such high demand now; we’re barely keeping up. We’re not complaining, of course.”
“AMVC.com has been around since July of 1997,” McNulty states, “and we remain amazed at how the web and technology rapidly changed and continues to do so.” My business partner, David MacKenzie, and I are very proud of our accomplishments and how much we’ve grown since we took both of our small, sole-proprietor businesses and joined forces. We’ve made so many friends and business partners along the way and appreciate all of their kindness and generosity. Most importantly, we’re extremely thankful to all of our producers and customers because without them we are nothing.” he adds.
AMVC.com is owned and operated by the fine folks at On The Edge of Cyberspace, Inc. For more information, we hope you visit AMVC.com at http://www.amvc.com.
